PPI REPORT CONFIRMS HISTORIC INFLATION CONTINUES, JOB CREATORS NETWORK REACTS

Washington, DC (October 12, 2022) – Today, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released the Producer Price Index report for September, showing an annual increase of 8.5%.  

Alfredo Ortiz, president and CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement: 

“Today’s PPI report, coming on top of Friday’s weak jobs report, is just the latest evidence that America is experiencing ‘stagflation,’ thanks to President Biden’s record spending and anti-growth policies. Seventy-eight percent of small business owners say the Biden Administration isn’t doing enough to combat inflation, according to the latest JCN Foundation Small Business IQ poll. They are absolutely correct, because if the Administration truly cared about taming inflation, they would immediately drop their $1 trillion student loan bailout. This week the JCN Foundation Legal Action Fund sued the Administration to stop the bailout and we are confident our lawsuit will succeed. We are also building support for our ‘American Small Business Prosperity Plan,’ an eight-point roadmap for the next Congress that has been endorsed by House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, Newt Gingrich, and many others. We will be pushing the plan as part of our Great Opportunity Project bus tour that starts in Erie, Pennsylvania today. JCN’s bus tour will cover at least five states over three weeks: Pennsylvania, Florida, Georgia, Arizona, and Michigan. We are working on multiple fronts to make sure the policies coming out of Washington help, not hurt, our 90-million-strong small business community.”
