Job Creators Network Touts “Extremely Impressive” Jobs Report

Washington, D.C. (May 3, 2019)—Today, the Bureau of Labor Statistics announced that 263,000 jobs were created in April, with the unemployment rate falling to 3.6 percent, the lowest level since 1969.

Alfredo Ortiz, president and CEO of the Job Creators Network, released the following statement:

Just when experts think the economy can’t do any better, it beats expectations once again.  Given how sizzling the economy already was going into April, the fact we added 263,000 more jobs and cut the unemployment rate to its lowest level since 1969 is stunning and extremely impressive.  For context, 1969 was the same year we first walked on the moon.  This is proof yet again that this is no sugar high.  It’s the result of strong economic policies that focus on jobs, lower taxes, less red tape and and an overall unleashing of the entrepreneurial spirit of America. The Federal Reserve’s decision to keep interest rates steady is also having a soothing effect, after a series of disastrous rate increases late last year.  Democrats who want to enact a far-left-agenda, including repealing the tax cuts, doubling the minimum wage, and enacting ‘Medicare for All’ endanger the prosperity that Americans at all economic levels are enjoying.
