Job Creators Network Slams Pelosi for $3 Trillion Spending Bill

Washington, DC – (May 12, 2020) — Today, Speaker Pelosi unveiled her Phase 4 coronavirus relief plan, which includes more than $3 trillion in new spending, the most expensive aid package yet to deal with the pandemic.

“The Pelosi bill is the wrong approach to stimulating the economy. We need to revitalize the private sector with tax relief, not grow the public sector with trillions in government spending. President Trump has repeatedly called for a payroll tax cut, and JCN continues to push for a targeted payroll tax suspension through the end of this year for companies with fewer than 100 employees. The Pelosi bill, however, doesn’t include a payroll tax cut. Instead, it puts the pedal to the metal on a left-wing agenda with the worst of it being a $1 trillion bailout of state and local governments. With the federal budget deficit expected to quadruple this year, we need to be smart and strategic when it comes to new spending. The Pelosi bill puts us on a road to bankruptcy while doing almost nothing to truly stimulate our economy.”
