Job Creators Network Reacts to Weekly Unemployment Claims Report

Washington, DC (November 25, 2020) — New data released by the Department of Labor reveals the number of first-time unemployment claims was 778,000 last week.

Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of the Job Creators Network (JCN)released the following statement:

“President Trump’s ‘V-shaped recovery’ is coming under attack.  One of Joe Biden’s coronavirus task force advisors is recommending a national lockdown.  Meanwhile, California, New York, and other states are imposing a new round of draconian measures despite barely reopening. At this rate, most small businesses won’t survive the winter without help. The best way to mitigate an economic catastrophe is to renew the Paycheck Protection Program and to have it passed and signed into law before the end of the year.  The PPP is a bipartisan success story and one of the most successful government programs of all time. Democrats have no excuse for holding it hostage.  Congress is going back into session next week and both parties need to make PPP renewal their highest priority.”
