Job Creators Network Reacts to Judge’s Decision to Strike Down Rule Expanding Association Health Plan Access

Washington, D.C. (March 29, 2019)—A federal judge on Thursday struck down a Trump administration rule expanding access to “Association Health Plans,” which cost less than many Obamacare plans.

Alfredo Ortiz, president and CEO of the Job Creators Network, released the following statement:

Small businesses were the prime beneficiaries of the President’s actions to expand association health plans, so Thursday’s ruling is extremely disappointing. However, with congressional action, this setback can be overcome.  The President has spent the whole week saying that Congress needs to take action on healthcare this year, and small business owners wholeheartedly agree.  Congress needs to listen, and small business owners are eager to be part of the reform process.
