JCN Reacts to New Efforts Pushing Green New Deal “Leftovers”

Washington, D.C. (March 28, 2019)–After the Green New Deal was defeated in a procedural vote in the U.S. Senate yesterday, some Democrats are planning to pursue incremental legislation to achieve the same goal. Alfredo Ortiz, JCN President and CEO, released the following statement:

The civil war within the Democrat Party is clearly accelerating – Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are desperate to placate AOC and the left wing of the Democratic party after Tuesday’s disastrous vote in the Senate. Their new strategy to break the ‘Green Raw Deal’ into smaller bills is a dishonest way to advance a catastrophic economic plan. The American people have no interest in ‘Green Raw Deal leftovers.’ JCN made the case against the first ‘Green Raw Deal’ with billboards in AOC’s home city and we will make the case against her ‘leftovers.’ The contrast between capitalism and socialism will be the defining issue of the 2020 campaign, and JCN will continue making a no-holds-barred case for capitalism and against the failed socialist ideas that would turn America into the next Venezuela.
