Job Creators Network on Debate: Democrats Refuse to Face Economic Reality, Continue to Push Far-Left Policies

Washington, DC (December 19, 2019) – Tonight, PBS andPolitico hosted a debate between seven Democrats running for President.

Alfredo Ortiz
, President and CEO of the Job Creators Network (JCN) released the following statement.

“Since last month’s debate, the unemployment rate dropped to a 50-year low and the Dow Jones hit a record high.  And yet, the Democrats continue to claim that America’s economy is terrible, attacking President Trump’s pro-growth policies and pushing a far-left agenda that most Americans do not support.  Our small business owners are the engine of America’s prosperity, and they know better than anyone that President Trump’s policies, including tax cuts and regulatory reform, are working.  We will soon be able to add the USMCA to the President’s list of achievements, with the House passing the agreement today and the Senate expected to act soon.  Healthcare is part of the economic debate, with Obamacare forcing one-third of small businesses to drop health insurance for their employees. The Democrats’ division over healthcare is misleading, since the so-called ‘public option’ is just a gradual version of ‘Medicare for All.’ The JCN Foundation has released its own healthcare reform framework, ‘Healthcare for You,’ which is supported by seven Republican governors, former HHS Secretary Tom Price, Newt Gingrich, and many others. With the Supreme Court likely to rule on the constitutionality of Obamacare, conservatives and Republicans need to rally around ‘Healthcare for You’ as the blueprint for healthcare reform. Otherwise, we will end up with ‘Medicare for All’ because the status quo is unsustainable.”
