Job Creators Network Launches Video Spotlighting Small Business Impact of 2017 Tax Cuts

Washington, D.C. (April 15, 2024) – On Tax Day, Job Creators Network (JCN) announced the launch of a new video showcasing the transformative effect of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) on Main Street. Small business owners share their stories, emphasizing the crucial need to extend the tax cuts set to expire in 2025. JCN will be promoting the video to legislators on Capitol Hill.

Since its enactment, the TCJA has spurred economic growth, empowering small businesses to reinvest and expand. Real wages have soared, and job creation has flourished, thanks to the financial relief provided by this landmark legislation.

Recent polling from Job Creators Network Foundation reveals the significant time commitment required from small business owners for tax preparation, with most spending at least 12 hours and about one-fifth of respondents dedicating as much as 36 hours this year. The JCN video underscores the importance of tax relief measures in easing this burden and fostering continued prosperity.

Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement:

“The 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act has been a game-changer for small businesses, driving unprecedented growth and opportunity. As we mark Tax Day, our latest video celebrates the remarkable achievements made possible by this landmark legislation. It also serves as a crucial reminder of the ongoing challenges small business owners face, particularly around tax time. We urge lawmakers to extend the provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act to ensure that our small businesses continue to thrive.”
