Job Creators Network Applauds House Passage of Tax Cuts Bill

Tax relief legislation moves onto the Senate for vote—inches closer towards President’s desk

Washington, D.C.—Today, the Job Creators Network highlights the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act through the House of Representatives. The long awaited tax relief legislation will reduce the tax burden on millions of small businesses and ordinary Americans. The legislation includes a 20 percent tax deduction for small businesses, the elimination of higher tax brackets in exchange for expanded lower ones, and an increase in the child tax credit—measures that will benefit a vast majority of Americans. It now moves onto a vote in the Senate.

Alfredo Ortiz, JCN President and CEO, released the following statement:

Today is a big day for small business entrepreneurs and the Americans across the country who rely on them. The tax cuts legislation that just passed the House will give our country’s job creators the opportunity to hire more people, raise wages, and expand their business—speeding up the economic engine that leads to prosperity for all Americans. The 20 percent tax deduction for small businesses, the new lower tax brackets and the expanded child tax credit is a gift that will keep on giving all year round. Let’s get it to the President’s desk before Christmas.
