Job Creators Network Fully Supports Joint House and Senate Tax Bill

Calls on legislators to put aside difference and pass long overdue tax relief for small businesses and ordinary Americans
Washington D.C. – Today the Job Creators Network (JCN) offered its full support for the recently announced joint House and Senate tax bill, which will offer significant and long overdue relief for hardworking taxpayers. JCN specifically applauded the bill’s tax cuts for small businesses, namely the creation of a new 20 percent tax deduction for small businesses, which cut taxes on the overwhelming majority of America’s small businesses. It also applauds the numerous other provisions, including reduced tax rates, expanded child tax credit, and simplification, that will significantly help the country’s hardworking taxpayers.

JCN President and CEO Alfredo Ortiz made the following statement:

The joint House and Senate tax bill is a Christmas gift for the country’s 29 million small business owners as well as their employees and communities. The new 20 percent tax deduction on small business income will allow small businesses to keep more of their earnings necessary to survive and thrive. These tax savings will be used by small businesses to expand, hire, and raise wages, helping employees, jobseekers, and communities. Other provisions like lower rates and vastly expanded child tax credits will bring long overdue relief to ordinary Americans. Now lawmakers must put aside their differences and come together for the good of country to pass one of the biggest tax cuts in U.S. history.
