JCN Applauds Gov. Kemp for Appointing the First Latina GA State Judge
Washington, D.C. (January 28, 2022)—Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp recently appointed Ana María Martinez to the state bench—making her the first Latina state court judge in Georgia. The Job Creators Network (JCN) congratulates the Honorable Martinez and looks forward to her many years of service ahead. Gov. Kemp should be commended for the historic judicial appointment.
Alfredo Ortiz, JCN President and CEO, released the following statement:
“The judiciary is the bedrock of our democratic institutions—helping to keep the executive and legislative branches of government in check. As a fellow Georgian and the son of Hispanic immigrants from humble beginnings, I couldn’t be more pleased that the Honorable Ana María Martinez now has the opportunity—as both an exceptional jurist and Latina woman—to help uphold this critical tradition. Governor Brian Kemp should be applauded for the appointment.”
