Reducing Existing Childcare Regulations is the Best Way to Lower Prices and Increase Access for American Families

“Shifting the cost of childcare to employers is the Biden administration’s latest attack on small businesses, many of which operate on razor-thin profit margins and can’t afford to cover their employees’ childcare needs. We agree that the high cost of childcare is a problem, but the Biden administration’s approach will only reduce accessibility for ordinary Americans. A better way to increase the supply and reduce the cost of childcare is through smart deregulation of this notoriously overregulated industry. By allowing more entrepreneurs to open up childcare facilities and by allowing existing establishments to increase their headcount, families will be able to access more childcare options at lower prices.”
