Pennsylvania Small Business Sets Record Straight on Biden’s Visit

Guy Berkebile, president of Guy Chemical Company, Inc. and partner of Job Creators Network Foundation, released the following statement in response to President Biden’s visit to Allentown, PA, today:

“President Biden is in Pennsylvania today, bragging about the small business climate, real wage growth, and job creation. But, as a small business owner in the state, I can tell you the real conditions on the ground are far from Biden’s rosy rhetoric.”

“Small businesses in the state are struggling due to Bidenflation, tax increases, and overregulation. Ordinary Pennsylvanians are experiencing a cost of living crisis due to the nearly 20% increase in prices of goods and services under Biden’s term. Small businesses are feeling the effects in terms of decreased consumer demand.”

“Biden is unfairly counting backfilled jobs that quickly returned post-pandemic to tout job creation in Allentown. In reality, employment there is relatively flat compared to pre-pandemic levels, reflecting the broader lackluster state economy. Most Pennsylvanians and Americans will recognize Biden’s remarks today for what they really are: spin to distract from his failed economic policies.”
