Job Creators Network Urges Congress to Put the American Economy First and Reverse Biden’s Ban on LNG Exports

In anticipation of the House vote on H.R. 7176, the Unlocking our Domestic LNG Potential Act of 2024, Alfredo Ortiz, Chief Executive Officer of the Job Creators Network issued the following statement in support of the legislation:

“As the American economy continues to struggle under the weight of Bidenflation, Congress must step up and reverse the President’s recent ban on new LNG exports. Job Creators Network urges Congress to pass H.R. 7176, the Unlocking our Domestic LNG Potential Act of 2024,” which would reverse Biden’s ban on LNG exports – a ban that threatens America’s energy supply and would increase, not reduce, emissions. Natural gas production and exports account for countless high-paying jobs and economic development in many parts of the country that need it the most. If allowed to stand, the LNG ban could lead to a long-term increase in energy prices because it depresses investment in this vital sector or our nation’s economy. Although Biden’s LNG ban was an obvious attempt to appease environmental activists, the fact is that LNG exports actually reduce emissions because they displace dirtier sources of fuel such as coal. The House must reverse this ban that threatens our nation’s energy security and likely will prolong the inflationary energy prices that small businesses and American families have been suffering under since President Biden took office.”
