Job Creators Network Responds to January JOLTS Report

Alfredo Ortiz, president and CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement on the January Job Openings and Labor Turnover Summary (JOLTS) Report, which showed national job openings, hires, and quits were little changed at 8.9 million, 5.7 million, and 3.4 million, respectively:
“Today’s JOLTS report demonstrates the labor market remains in a holding pattern in the face of persistent inflation and high interest rates. Small businesses have been particularly impacted by failed Democratic policies and are holding back on job openings and hiring. In turn, employees are not confident in quitting their jobs in this environment. This labor market stasis is reflected by JCN’s national SBIQ poll of small business owners. To protect and reinvigorate the labor market, voters must reject Democrats’ reckless spending, overregulation, and tax hikes in favor of pro-growth, pro-small business policies.”
