Job Creators Network Reacts to Jobs Report
Washington, D.C. (July 5, 2019)—Today, the U.S. Department of Labor announced that 224,000 jobs were created in June, with the unemployment rate hitting 3.7 percent.
Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of the Job Creators Network, released the following statement:
“When you consider that we’re already in the longest economic expansion in history, it’s especially remarkable that we added 224,000 jobs in June, with the unemployment rate hitting 3.7 percent. The reason is simple: smart pro-growth policies that are giving job creators the confidence they need to grow, expand, and invest. But the Democratic debates are a warning sign, with candidates rushing to embrace socialist policies that would wreck our economy. Doubling down on the pro-growth policies of this administration, combined with a cut in the Fed’s rates, is the prescription we need to keep our economy the envy of the world.”
