Job Creators Network Reacts to Biden Presser on January Jobs Report

Washington, DC (February 4, 2022)— Today, President Biden held a press conference to discuss the January jobs report.

Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of the Job Creators Network, released the following statement: 

“President Biden must think the American people have forgotten about the pandemic and the 22.4 million jobs that were lost because how else can he claim to be creating a historic number of jobs when the economy is simply regaining jobs that were lost. Jobs are returning in spite of Biden’s policies not because of them. The economy is still nearly three million jobs short of its pre-pandemic peak. Biden’s boasts about wage growth also ignore the fact that real wages, adjusted for ongoing historic inflation, are falling. Ordinary Americans are enduring a Biden pay cut and falling living standards. They won’t buy the malarky that Biden is selling.”
