Job Creators Network Praises GOP Governors During “National Small Business Week”

Washington, D.C. (May 8, 2019)— President Trump has officially proclaimed the week of May 5-11 to be “National Small Business Week.”

Alfredo Ortiz, president and CEO of the Job Creators Network, released the following statement:

With America observing National Small Business Week, we want to recognize Republican Governors who are working hard to support the small business community.  This year alone, Republican Governors from nearly a dozen states have taken bold action on taxes, regulation, occupational licensing, and  workforce development to spur entrepreneurship and job creation.

To give a few examples, Gov. Matt Bevin of Kentucky signed a $100 million tax cut into law; Gov. Doug Ducey of Arizona signed an occupational licensing reform bill into law; and Gov. Brad Little of Idaho signed legislation requiring state agencies to identify two regulations to repeal for every new one they propose.

With the media obsessed about the President’s taxes and never-ending investigations, these Governors deserve more applause for focusing on what matters and getting results. They are a big part of America’s booming economy, and we will keep working with them to make America even stronger.
