Job Creators Network Praises Extension of Paycheck Protection Program Deadline

Washington, D.C. (July 1, 2020) — In response to the Senate and House moves to extend the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) application deadline to August 8th, 2020, Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of the Job Creators Networkissued this statement:

“On behalf of America’s small business owners, I’m pleased to see the PPP forgivable loan application deadline has been extended to August 8th. The loan program has been a lifeline for businesses and employees trying to cope with Covid-related shutdowns. The program still has $130 billion in funding left and this extra time gives those businesses on the fence about accessing the money, or ones who are just now feeling the pinch, time to access the funding if they need it. The PPP program has been a tremendous success and we appreciate the tireless efforts of the Trump administration to make sure small businesses get the funding they need.”
