Job Creators Network on Debate: Democrats Demand “Wealth Tax,” Show Zero Interest in Wealth Creation

Washington, DC (October 15, 2019) – Tonight, CNN and the New York Times hosted a debate between 12 Democrats running for President.

Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of the Job Creators Network (JCNreleased the following statement.

“The Democrats continued to beat the drums for their far-left agenda, advocating for higher taxes and more government control, even though such policies would wreck President Trump’s booming economy and destroy millions of jobs.  Led by Elizabeth Warren, several candidates clamored for a ‘wealth tax,’ while expressing zero interest in wealth creation. Small business owners and their employees know the best way to create wealth is to get government out of the way, not feed the government with more tax dollars.

Healthcare is a perfect example of how government interference is creating the problems it claims to solve.   After Obamacare took effect, more than one-third of small business owners had to drop coverage for their employees because of rising costs. Further government interference, whether through ‘Medicare for All’ or the so-called ‘public option,’ would make things even worse.

JCN is working with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals to create a framework for personalized healthcare. We are devoting extensive market research to create a new framework that puts patients first, expands choice, and lowers costs. Our approach, which takes politicians out of the process, is exactly the right way to approach healthcare reform, one of the most important battles in the larger debate between socialism and capitalism.”
