Job Creators Network Calls Out Senate Democrats for Blocking Additional Funding for the Paycheck Protection Program
Washington, D.C. (April 20, 2020)— Today, Senate Democrats have blocked additional funding for the Paycheck Protection Program. It has been four days since the program ran out of money, and this partisan obstruction from Democrats comes at a time when American small businesses need help more than ever. Alfredo Ortiz and Job Creators Network (JCN) worked closely with Secretary Mnuchin in developing the program that has helped America’s small business sector, the continued success of the program necessitates that additional funding is added as soon as possible.
Alfredo Ortiz, JCN President and CEO, released the following statement:
“There is no other way to say this; Democrats are killing small businesses. Our economy is losing 33,000 jobs an hour; Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer have turned their backs on working families from coast to coast. Helping small businesses in an economy that has lost 22 million jobs in just one month’s time is as high a priority as there can be. They need to fund the Paycheck Protection Program now.“
