Job Creators Network Applauds Senate Republicans for Stopping Freedom to Cheat Act
Washington, DC (October 20, 2021) — Today, the Senate failed to advance the Freedom to Cheat Act, as Senate Republicans voted against the bill.
Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement:
“Since January, President Biden and the Democrats in Congress having been pushing aggressively to pass a national takeover of state elections, while recklessly lying about Republican-led efforts to strengthen voter integrity in states like Georgia, Florida, and Texas. The Democrats’ efforts are culminating this week with Senate votes on two bills – the Freedom to Cheat Act and the Pelosi Power Grab. The Freedom to Cheat Act failed today as Senate Republicans united in opposition, preventing Democrats from receiving the 60 votes they needed to break the filibuster. We applaud the Senate Republicans for recognizing the dangers of this blatantly-corrupt bill and we urge them to stay united when the Senate votes to advance the Pelosi Power Grab on Thursday. The Democrats’ fever over gutting election laws has already created collateral damage in Georgia, costing the state the MLB All-Star Game and about $100 million in revenue. JCN’s lawsuit against MLB raised awareness about the economic consequences of misguided wokeness.”
