COP28 Climate Disaster Fund is a Global Tax on Ordinary Americans

Alfredo Ortiz, president and CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement in response to the approval of a “climate disaster fund” at COP28 in Dubai:

“The so-called ‘climate disaster fund’ is little more than a global tax on ordinary Americans to fund dictators and oligarchs in other countries around the world. It’s bad enough that small businesses and hardworking folks already face high federal taxes to fund the vast administrative state; now, the Biden Administration — led by John Kerry — wants to implement this global tax. Ostensibly, these funds deal with the ‘climate crisis,’ but in reality, they are just another attack on America’s vibrant small business economy. The kicker: Leading environmentalists such as Bjorn Lomborg and Steven Koonin reveal there’s no proof that climate disasters such as hurricanes are increasing. The climate disaster fund is just another Biden administration policy that reduces American living standards.”
