WSJ Ad: Job Creators Network Likens Biden Economy to Jimmy Carter Era

The Job Creators Network (JCN) ran a full-page advertisement in The Wall Street Journal comparing the current economy under President Biden to that under former President Jimmy Carter. High inflation, soaring gas prices, and a policy agenda threatening jobs are among similarities.

The ad, headlined “Mirror Mirror on the Wall, Who’ll Be the Most Economically Destructive of Them All,” uses a fairy tale theme to convey how President Biden’s policy proposals will upend the economy, particularly for small businesses. It features an original political cartoon, commissioned by JCN, of Biden smiling into a mirror and seeing Jimmy Carter.

The ad copy reads, “Once upon a time, there was a President named Jimmy Carter. His misguided economic policies led to high inflation, soaring gas prices, and job loss. Sadly, Democrats have created Jimmy Carter 2.0 in the form of President Joe Biden. With calls for unprecedented government spending and tax increases, Biden has the potential to hurt the country even more than Carter did.”

It concludes: “Working Americans Won’t Live Happily Ever After With Runaway Government Spending and Debt.”
