Trump Signs Historic Tax Relief Legislation into Law
Washington, D.C.—Today, the Job Creators Network (JCN) celebrates as President Trump signs the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act into law—a move that will bring financial savings to millions of Americans and the small businesses that make up Main Streets across the country. The long awaited legislation creates a 20 percent tax deduction for small businesses, eliminates higher tax brackets in favor of expanded lower ones, and substantially increases the child tax credit. The measures will give American entrepreneurs the opportunity to invest back into their businesses and employees—strengthening communities and the economy.
Alfredo Ortiz, JCN President and CEO, released the following statement:
Today’s signing of tax cuts legislation into law is a win for everyone across the country and provides hope for the future of the great American experiment. For too long our small business innovators and job creators have been bridled by a government that taxes too much while doing too little to cultivate growth and economic prosperity. But that begins to change today as these measures reduce the financial strain on America’s economic engine—giving small businesses the freedom to expand, opening up more opportunities for employees, and making America more competitive on the world stage. As made famous during the Reagan campaign, “It’s morning in America.”
