Small Business Week a Great Time for Employers to Educate Workers on Public Policies, says Job Creators Network

JCN urges small businesses to spend time with employees talking about how public policies affects jobs, paychecks and the economy

Washington, D.C. (April 30, 2018) — The Job Creators Network Foundation (JCNF) is celebrating small business week by encouraging small business owners to talk to employees about how public policies affect jobs and the economy.

“Small business owners are in a perfect position to educate their employees on how laws and regulations affect their paychecks,” said Elaine Parker, President of the Job Creators Foundation. “The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is a prime opportunity. Many employees don’t realize that the reason their paychecks are bigger this year is because Congress passed the largest tax cut in history. We are urging small business owners to connect the dots for their workers.”

The Job Creators Network’s (JCN) Employer to Employee (E2E) program encourages employers to talk with their employees about government policies and mandates. It equips employers with the materials aimed at showing workers how laws and mandates can affect not just the bottom line, but wages, benefits, work hours, and the larger economy.

The organization is currently embarked on a nationwide campaign, Tax Cuts Works, educating businesses, employees, and local communities on the affect of the federal tax cuts enacted last year.

“Small business owners have more to celebrate this year. The small business climate has improved dramatically under this administration and Congress, and the employees are reaping the benefits. Wages are higher. Paychecks are bigger. There are millions more jobs. Unemployment is nearly at a record low. We want employers to share the good news with their workers.”
