Send In the National Guard to Protect Chicago’s Minority Small Businesses
Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement in response to President Trump’s announcement that he will send the National Guard to Chicago to reduce high crime:
“Minority small businesses are the biggest victims of the endless out-of-control crime and public disorder in cities like Chicago. Failed Democrat soft-on-crime policies have turned our urban centers into warzones. Over Labor Day weekend, at least 58 people were shot, eight fatally, in the Windy City. That’s worse than third-world hellholes.”
“Then there are the overlooked but far more common examples of public decay and menacing behavior, such as so-called “teen takeovers” where unruly youths scare away productive citizens, tourists, and commerce. No one should stand for this endless cycle of crime — not even the liberal media that never ventures into these neighborhoods.”
“Entrepreneurs can’t grow, hire, or serve their customers if they’re constantly dealing with theft, vandalism, or fearing for their safety. These communities can’t get the investment they need and deserve when Democrats fail to keep streets safe. Crime-free neighborhoods are the real economic justice issue, and small businesses thank President Trump for finally standing up for them and sending in the National Guard to end America’s crime epidemic that hurts black and brown people most of all.”
