President Biden Pickets at UAW Strike He Helped Cause

Alfredo Ortiz, president and CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement in response to President Biden joining the UAW picket line today:

“President Biden is attempting to show solidarity with UAW strikers by joining their picket line, but his picket sign should be a mirror because his bad policies are partly responsible for the strike itself. Bidenflation has caused declining real wages and living standards for ordinary workers, resulting in UAW striking to swing the wage pendulum in the other direction. Biden’s green energy mandates force automakers to make unprofitable electric vehicles, reducing funds with which they could raise workers’ wages and benefits. And Biden’s pro-union rhetoric, including calling himself the most pro-union president in history, has also contributed to the UAW overplaying its hand with ridiculous compensation demands. 

“Biden might be pro-union, but his policies are anti-worker, and they threaten the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of workers, thousands of small businesses that service the big three automakers, and even the automakers themselves. Union members on today’s picket line should hold him accountable.”
