New Billboard in Times Square: Hey AOC, Happy Anniversary to 25,000 Jobs Lost!

Job Creators Network remembers Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s hand in the termination of Amazon’s HQ2 in New York last year

Washington, D.C. (February 19, 2020)—Today, the Job Creators Network is putting up another billboard in Times Square reminding the public of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s role in the pullout of Amazon HQ2 from New York. This caused the loss of 25,000 jobs that would have paid an average salary of $150,000, and was a major blow to the state’s economy, costing the area $12 billion in economic activity.

“A year ago, the New York economy experienced a significant loss when Amazon decided to cancel its HQ2 plans partly because of anti-business politics pushed by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez,” said Alfredo Ortiz, JCN President and CEO. “This is a perfect example of how leftwing policies pushed by AOC and others can have a very real impact on paychecks. It couldn’t be more evident that Socialism Takes and Capitalism Creates.”

The billboard—which is located on the corner of 43rd Street and Broadway—will be displayed for a week beginning today and is headlined “Hey AOC! Remember when you bragged about the Amazon pullout?” The billboard reads “A year ago you lost 25,000 NYC Jobs, $4 billion in Lost Wages and $12 Billion in Lost Economic activity for NY. Thanks for Nothing, AOC!” and ends with the hashtag:
