Main Street Congratulates Speaker Johnson and House Republicans for Passing Pro-Small Business Health Reform Legislation

Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement in response to House Republicans passing the Lower Health Care Premiums for All Americans Act:

“Speaker Johnson and his colleagues are proving that Republicans are the party of meaningful healthcare reform that lowers costs for small businesses and their employees. By passing pro-consumer, pro-market healthcare legislation, Republicans are helping families, not big insurance. The highlight of the Republican bill passed Wednesday is the overdue expansion of association health plans, which JCN has long supported, allowing small businesses to band together to negotiate far less expensive plans enjoyed by big companies and avoid burdensome insurance regulations. Small businesses and employees can still choose their Obamacare plans if they prefer, but AHPs offer them much-needed choice and alternatives.

“Democrats have shown they have nothing to offer healthcare voters aside from doubling down on the failing Obamacare model by shoveling even more taxpayer funds to keep it afloat. In contrast, Republicans are leading the way on innovative reform to actually lower premiums, raise worker pay, and improve affordability.”
