Job Creators Network Was Loudest Voice Calling for Expanded Small Business Tax Deduction in House Bill

House Republicans’ tax bill that passed this morning expands the small business tax deduction used by 26 million American small businesses from 20% to 23%. Job Creators Network was by far the loudest voice calling for an expansion of this crucial deduction as part of its Tax Cuts Now campaign.

JCN first advocated for it in early December, then included it in a featured tax cut report early in the year, listing it as a key small business tax cut priority. Then, in early March, JCN wrote a Fox News op-ed with Grover Norquist calling for this expansion to be the top priority for lawmakers. JCN has consistently beat the drum for this small business deduction expansion over the past few months.

Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement:

“Job Creators Network was the loudest voice calling for an expanded small business tax deduction, and on behalf of American small businesses, we are happy House Republicans listened and incorporated this vital provision in their tax bill that passed on Thursday. This tax cut empowers small businesses to expand, hire, raise wages, and reinvest in their communities. It’s imperative the Senate similarly stands up for small businesses and includes this crucial Main Street tax cut in its legislation.”
