Job Creators Network Urges Passage of Continuing Resolution with SAVE Act
Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement in response to reports that the House will vote on a continuing resolution that includes the SAVE Act tomorrow:
“Every Member of Congress should support tomorrow’s vote on the continuing resolution and SAVE Act. The SAVE Act’s commonsense requirement for proof of citizenship to register to vote will safeguard American elections at a time when they’re under unprecedented threat. Noncitizen voting undermines American democracy and could unfairly make the difference in our increasingly close elections. That’s why Job Creators Network and the Hispanic Vote Coalition, including the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, strongly support it. By voting for the continuing resolution with the SAVE Act, Congress makes it easy for Americans to vote but hard for noncitizens to cheat.”
