Job Creators Network Tax Day Statement

Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement in response to Tax Day, which is tomorrow, April 15:

“Thanks to the historic Election Day victory by President Trump and Congressional Republicans, small businesses and ordinary Americans filing their tax returns can be confident they won’t face a massive tax hike starting next year. Make no mistake, if Democrats had won the presidency or either house of Congress, they would have forced the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act to expire, raising taxes on ordinary Americans by an average of 22%.

“Now Republicans can unite to expand and make permanent the TCJA for their voters and all Americans. Last week’s budget deal agreement was a major step. Republicans can seize the opportunity to deliver meaningful and lasting tax cuts — above and beyond the original TCJA — to grow the Main Street economy for generations to come and make future Tax Days far less painful.”
