Job Creators Network Supports Proposed Government Funding Bill

Points to bill’s delay of medical taxes that hurt small businesses

Washington, D.C. – Today, the Job Creators Network (JCN) announced its support for the proposed government funding bill needed to avoid a government shutdown. JCN points to the bill’s delay of a variety of healthcare taxes that hit small businesses especially hard as the basis for its support. JCN President and CEO Alfredo Ortiz released the following statement:

Nearly every day I hear from small business owners across the country about the burdens that the Affordable Care Act and skyrocketing healthcare costs are having on their businesses and employees. The proposed government funding bill would avoid making this bad situation worse because it would delay a slew of additional ACA taxes, including the health-insurance tax, the medical device tax, and the tax on high-end insurance programs. Congress should pass it, then get back to work reforming health care to bring down costs for small businesses and hardworking Americans.
