Job Creators Network Strongly Supports Main Street Certainty Act of 2023 to Make 20% Small Business Tax Deduction Permanent
Alfredo Ortiz, president and CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement in support of Sen. Steve Daines’s recently introduced Main Street Certainty Act of 2023:
“American small businesses currently face numerous hurdles, from high inflation to overregulation to a lack of access to credit. Yet one bright spot is the 20% small business tax deduction that passed as part of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Unfortunately, this vital tax cut is scheduled to expire after 2025, adding another major small business hurdle. That’s why Sen. Daines’s Main Street Certainty Act of 2023, which would make this tax cut permanent, is so important. It would give small businesses the cost certainty they need to make investment and expansion decisions today. It will help them better navigate the turbulent waters of today’s stagflationary economy and set the stage for strong growth when the nation emerges from this difficult small business environment. Congress should stand up for small businesses and swiftly pass it.”
