Job Creators Network Statement on Trump’s EO Ending Cashless Bail and Expanding Crime-Fighting Efforts
Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement in response to President Trump’s executive order ending cashless bail in DC and expanding his crime-fighting efforts:
“President Trump’s crime-fighting effort in Washington, DC is working, allowing ordinary residents and small businesses to flourish. For instance, the District’s murder rate has dropped from one every other day to zero since Trump brought in the National Guard.
“Trump’s executive order to end cashless bail will make the streets even safer by keeping dangerous repeat offenders behind bars. His plans to expand crime-fighting initiatives to cities like Chicago will finally make overlooked communities safer and give small businesses the security they need to thrive.
“These efforts are long overdue. For too long, local Democrat politicians have ignored the outrageous crime in their inner cities. Failed Democrat soft-on-crime policies have turned our urban centers into warzones, disproportionately hurting minority small business owners, who are on the frontlines of their neighborhoods.
“These entrepreneurs can’t grow, hire, or serve their customers if they’re constantly dealing with theft, vandalism, or fearing for their safety. These communities can’t get the investment they need and deserve when Democrats fail to keep streets safe. Crime-free neighborhoods are the real economic justice issue.”
