Job Creators Network Statement on Stimulus Bill Vote Today

Washington, DC (October 21, 2020) — Today, the Senate will vote on Leader McConnell’s stimulus bill that includes funding for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).

“Leader McConnell’s stimulus bill is carefully crafted to help the sector of our economy that needs the most help and is doing the most to drive our recovery: our small business community.  The centerpiece of McConnell’s bill is a renewal of the Paycheck Protection Program – the small business loan program that aided five million companies and helped saved 51 million jobs.  We urge every Senator do right by the American people and vote ‘yes’ on this targeted but much- needed stimulus bill.  Speaker Pelosi should support this bill and have the House vote on it.   Instead, she is holding our economy hostage to fund a wish list of Democratic priorities.  That is outrageous and unacceptable.  Leader McConnell and Senate Republicans are doing their jobs.  Pelosi needs to do her job too.”
