Job Creators Network Statement on House Continuing Resolution to Reopen the Government
Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement in support of the House’s continuing resolution to reopen the federal government:
“The House should quickly pass the Senate’s continuing resolution to reopen the government and provide welcome relief to small businesses and their employees, who have been bearing the brunt of Washington’s dysfunction. Every day the government remains shut down, small businesses that rely on federal contracts, permits, and basic services face mounting uncertainty and financial strain. This bipartisan action brings much-needed relief and stability to Main Street.”
“The shutdown has brought renewed focus to the outrageous cost of healthcare in this country, and small businesses commend Congressional Republicans for standing firm against Democrats’ hostage tactics to send more taxpayer funds to health insurers. We look forward to working to support meaningful healthcare reform that empowers small businesses, clears the exam room of insurance and government bureaucrats, and puts the “affordable” back into the Affordable Care Act.”
