Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement on the tax savings small businesses and ordinary Americans are receiving this Tax Day:

“Thanks to last year’s historic Republican tax cuts, Tax Day is a lot less painful for small businesses and ordinary Americans. Small businesses are keeping more money to expand, hire, and raise wages through provisions such as restored 100% immediate expensing on equipment and R&D, a permanent 20% Main Street tax deduction, and locked-in lower rates. That means more money in communities where it is needed to stimulate local economies and provide opportunities to ordinary folks.

“Individual provisions, such as no tax on tips or overtime, are helping hardworking Americans enjoy their biggest tax refunds in history. So far, 50 million filers have taken advantage of such new Republican tax cuts. When businesses and workers receive this extra cash, they should remember whom to thank: Congressional Republicans and President Trump. And keep in mind that every single federal Democrat voted against these middle-class and small-business tax cuts.”
