Job Creators Network Responds to Virginia and New Jersey Election Results

Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement on Virginia and New Jersey’s gubernatorial election results:

“Tuesday’s election results are a wake-up call for every small business supporter nationwide. Unless we band together over key Main Street issues, we face a blue wave next year that will end President Trump and Congressional Republicans’ pro-growth progress that is boosting living standards and wellbeing. Tax cuts, deregulation, and lower gas prices are all in jeopardy unless the right unites behind a pro-opportunity message. Biden 2.0 looms on the horizon unless we get our act together.”

“Rather than spending the last few weeks fighting over group chats and podcast guests, we need to refocus on delivering for Main Street and families and selling these victories. How many of the independent voters who said affordability was their main concern and pulled the lever for Democrats last night knew that gas prices are at their lowest level in several years? How many know that the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was expanded and made permanent, putting more money in their wallets for the long term? And why didn’t Republicans go on offense against Obamacare during this shutdown fight, explaining how it hasn’t worked to achieve its goal of lower healthcare costs from Day 1 and has merely served as a taxpayer wealth transfer to insurance companies?”

“Democrats and the media aren’t going to inform voters of these policy issues, so it’s up to conservatives to make this case, repeatedly and creatively, and not get sidetracked by culture war issues and intramural fights.”
