Job Creators Network Responds to Second Quarter GDP Growth
Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement in response to the Bureau of Economic Analysis’ announcement today that GDP in the second quarter grew at 2.8%:
“The real economy is not as strong as the second quarter topline GDP number suggests. GDP growth in this period was buoyed by a massive increase in federal government spending, boosting the deficit and hurting the economy long-term. In the real world, Americans are still struggling to make ends meet, having to choose between buying gas and groceries. The Main Street economy has been weighed down by bad Biden-Harris administration policies, including overregulation, reckless spending, and restrictions on traditional energy production. This is the economy that Americans experience day-to-day, and the one on which they will vote in November.”
