Job Creators Network Responds to March Jobs Report

Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement on the March jobs report, which showed 178,000 jobs created last month, the unemployment rate fell to 4.3%, and the labor force participation rate fell to 61.9%:

“Friday’s huge jobs report smashed expectations and demonstrates the economy and labor market are far stronger than the mainstream media suggests. It reveals a nation at full employment thanks to President Trump’s strong border policies that have stopped the massive influx of the labor force. It shows that employers are shrugging off high oil prices, recognizing that this is merely some short-term pain that would have been far worse if it weren’t for Trump’s domestic pro-energy agenda. And it confirms that February’s significant job loss was merely a blip due to the terrible weather that month.

“In other good news, federal government employment declined again, freeing up resources for the productive private sector, and real wages continued to rise, boosting Americans’ living standards. It’s clear that last year’s Republican tax cuts, including restored 100% immediate expensing and a permanent 20% small business deduction, are empowering employers to expand, hire, and raise wages.”
