Job Creators Network Responds to March CPI

Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement in response to March CPI, which rose by 3.3%, and Core CPI, which rose by 2.6%:

“High headline inflation last month is wholly a one-off due to the Iran War’s impact on energy prices. Core inflation, excluding energy, remained low and at the Federal Reserve’s target rate. That’s a result of good public policies, including tax cuts and deregulation that boost the supply of goods and services. It shows that when the war ends, inflation will quickly return to the low levels achieved by Congressional Republicans and President Trump. What’s more, headline inflation would have been even higher if it weren’t for Trump’s drill-baby-drill energy policy that has resulted in record domestic oil output, blunting the impact of the Iran War disruption.”
