Job Creators Network Responds to January Jobs Report
Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement in response to the January jobs report that showed 143,000 jobs were created last month, the unemployment rate fell to 4.0%, and the labor force participation rate increased to 62.6%:
“The Trump economy posted another strong jobs day with the unemployment rate falling, the labor force participation rate growing, and more than two million jobs created, according to the household survey, the largest increase since the Covid recovery. Average wages also surged, rising faster than inflation.
“The job market is responding to Trump’s pro-small business agenda, including his deregulation and energy dominance executive orders, which make it easier for job creators to thrive. The employment numbers align with Job Creators Network’s latest national poll of small business owners, which shows small business sentiment exploding to a near-record high since Trump took office.
“But President Trump can only do so much. Now it’s time for Congress to do its part by passing legislation to make the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act permanent. Small businesses need tax certainty to hire, expand, and raise wages and allow the labor market and American economy to reach new heights.”
