Job Creators Network Responds to Gov. Tim Walz Calling for the Electoral College to be Abolished

Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement in response to Gov. Tim Walz calling for the Electoral College to be abolished:

“Gov. Tim Walz’s opposition to the constitutionally protected Electoral College is only the latest American norm and tradition that Democrats want to overturn if they take power, a list that includes packing the Supreme Court and ending the Senate filibuster. Walz’s call for a national popular vote ignores the Founders’ vision of a republic that carefully balances popular and geographic democracy. A national popular vote would unfairly elevate the concerns of urban elites over small-town and rural America, including in Walz’s home state, fracturing the country. Walz’s radical claim should remind voters that Democrats are the real threat to American democracy.”
