Job Creators Network Responds to Federal Reserve Interest Rate Decision
Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement on the Federal Reserve’s decision to hold interest rates steady:
“On his way out the door, Chairman Powell refused once again to give American small businesses and consumers the lifeline they need by lowering interest rates. Entrepreneurs need greater access to credit to fully take advantage of the tax cuts and deregulation generated by the Trump administration and Congressional Republicans. Lower interest rates are also needed by consumers to reduce their debt interest payments.
“The high inflation consumers are currently experiencing is the result of the Iran War’s impact on oil prices. Inflation will moderate soon, but that will be too late for many small businesses that need access to credit now. Incoming Fed Chairman Kevin Warsh will better understand this dynamic and give small businesses the relief they deserve. His term can’t start soon enough.”
