Job Creators Network Responds to Federal Reserve Holding Interest Rates Steady
Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement after the Federal Reserve voted to leave interest rates unchanged:
“Main Street is still paying the price for interest rates that remain too high. Every month that interest rates remain elevated is another month entrepreneurs face higher borrowing costs, fewer expansion opportunities, and greater difficulty hiring workers. Access to credit is the lifeblood of the small business economy.
“Despite periodic flare-ups, the Iran War is winding down, reducing energy costs and inflationary pressures. This will give Kevin Warsh and his Federal Reserve colleagues the space to lower interest rates in the months to come. Doing so will allow more small businesses to take advantage of historic Republican tax cuts and boost economic growth and real wages.”
