Job Creators Network Responds to August CPI
Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement in response to the August consumer price index, which showed prices rose by 0.2% last month (2.5% year over year), and Core CPI, which rose 0.3% (3.2% year over year):
“Inflation has moderated, but the real prices Americans are paying are higher than ever. As a result, ordinary Americans are struggling to make ends meet. For example, electricity prices rose by 3.9% last year, but under the Biden-Harris administration, they have increased by more than 30%. These higher energy costs are a painful tax on American households and small businesses. The inflation damage has already been done, and there’s no going back.”
“Job Creators Network put up Times Square billboards this week highlighting this divergence between the moderating inflation rate and ongoing rising real prices of goods Americans depend on. We call it Kamala’s misery gap.”
