Job Creators Network Responds To April CPI

Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement in response to April CPI, which rose by 3.8%, and Core CPI, which rose by 2.8%:

“The oil price shock due to the Iran War is the reason for escalating inflation. These price hikes are truly transitory and will fall again when the conflict ends. That’s a stark contrast to Bidenflation, which went on and on and was the result of reckless government spending. As recent labor market indicators show, small businesses understand that these higher prices are temporary and not a reason to disrupt spring hiring.

“President Trump’s plan to suspend the federal gas tax will give Americans much-needed relief at the pump and put downward pressure on costs throughout the economy. Congress should listen to Trump and pass this measure immediately to help ordinary Americans and small businesses dealing with these temporary higher costs.”
