Job Creators Network Releases Vice Presidential Debate Statement

Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement regarding tonight’s vice-presidential debate:

“There is no better indication of Kamala Harris’s bad judgment than her choice of Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate. Walz is the most anti-small business governor in the nation, and he is on the record supporting socialism. As governor, Walz implemented and oversaw one of the strictest Covid lockdown policies in the nation, which shuttered countless businesses. His acceptance of the Minneapolis riots allowed that city to burn and small businesses to be looted and crushed.

“Then there are the crushing regulations and taxes Walz has enacted. His onerous paid sick leave mandate has put a tremendous burden on low-margin businesses like restaurants. He raised taxes again and again, including on small business job creators, even while his state was experiencing large surpluses, suggesting Walz hikes taxes for ideological reasons. The debate moderators should not let Walz hide his anti-small business policies behind his folksy demeanor. Voters deserve to hear Walz explain why he shut businesses down, allowed them to burn, then taxed and regulated them into the ground.”
